Calico Ghost Town 2018

As a reward to our top earners of the popcorn sales, we set out to the wild, wild west – Calico Ghost Town. Although this was a prize for only the top earners, we did invite the entire pack to join in on the fun! Panning for gold, riding the train, and touring the Mystery Shack were just a few of the fun things the children got to experience. As if exploring the tourist attraction “Maggie Mine” wasn’t enough, they also put on their hard hats and received a private tour of a real mine in the Calico mountains. We saw how heavy the mining equipment was and how deep and dark the shafts were. It was definitely an amazing learning experience for the children and adults alike.
