The Lego Derby is another Cub Scout favorite event similar to the Pinewood Derby but the scouts get to have a ton of fun building the cards themselves.

Most people seem to be more familiar with the pinewood derby – and for good reason! Cub scouts get to work with their parents to build the perfect race car! Lego Derby is like that, but more. Scouts get the opportunity to build a racecar but, unlike Pinewood Derby, they can build it all on their own! What child doesn’t love building and exploring their creativity with Legos? Building their cars all on their own helps build confidence as well as self reliance. A friendly competition teaches good sportsmanship and respect for others through experience while still having fun. The Lego Derby with Pack 490 is one of the many ways we teach our youth to DO THEIR BEST!
