Pack 490 Activities
Our Bear den ventured out to the San Dimas Nature center where they saw several animals and learned about the habitats around us. The nature center was followed by a quick hike in the nearby hills and made for an excellent morning in the outdoors!
The wolf den made a trip out to Eaton Canyon, Alta Dena. With tons of water crossings and animals, the den had a blast! This was the best way for our scouts to spend a weekend afternoon!
Blue & Gold is an annual celebration of the birth of scouting! This year was an extra special event because our Arrow of Light den bridged over to Boy Scouts! What a wonderful ceremony! Cake, food, and décor made this a magical evening for our families.
It is Derby time! This year, our pack had a brand new derby track with all the bells and whistles! This derby was a really fun way to showcase their creativity and interests while exploring a little healthy competition.
For the scouts who sold over $1,000 in popcorn, we held a snow tubing outing in Wrightwood. The scouts had an amazing time snow tubing and experiencing the great and snowy outdoors!
Each year, the city of Glendora has a Christmas Parade to showcase our community. Pack 490 teams up with our charter organization, the Glendora Rotary Club, and makes a festive float for the parade. Decorating this float is always a fun way to get into the holiday spirit and our scouts love it!
Hooray! Pack 490 achieved their Popcorn Fundraising goal! In order to reward our scouts for all of their hard work, we celebrated with a bowling party at Chaparral Lanes. The kids had a blast bowling, playing arcade games, and eating tons of pizza. Way to go with all of your hard work, Pack 490!

It is that time of year again, Lego Derby! We at Pack 490 love the Lego Derby because it gives even the littlest of scouts the opportunity to build their derby cars 100% on their own. A lego themed pack meeting filled with lots of racing and trophies always a blast!
Lions and Tigers get to do Day camp, too! Rather than an entire week, the younger scouts get to spend the day doing what scouts love most! Shooting sports, water sports, and outdoor fun!
